Gordon has worked in casting for over six years. Currently Casting Associate to Kate Rhodes James, he has assisted on projects including: Discovery of Witches (Sky) The Terror (AMC/Scott Free), Requiem (BBC/Netflix/New Pictures), Rellik (BBC/New Pictures), Line of Duty S4 (BBC) and Sherlock S4 (BBC).
Prior to this, Gordon was Casting Associate to Jill Green for close to five years. He worked on over 15 West End and Touring productions, including the final cast of War Horse (New London), the penultimate cast of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Gielgud), original casts of Kinky Boots, Beautiful, Showboat and The Scottsboro Boys (UK Casting).
Doctors, nurses, receptionists, teachers, passers-by: sometimes such roles feature for just a few lines in a scene, and whilst being a nice small featured role, often opposite one of the leads or supporting leads, they can be difficult roles to audition for. During this workshop, Gordon will work one-to-one with a different scene per actor and discuss ways to help you nail an audition for these small roles without the common impulse to over-play them. He will also give personalised critique on your Spotlight headshots, CV and showreel (if you have one). The session will end with an informal Q&A.
