Casting Workshops create learning opportunities for Spotlight registered Actors, to help develop their craft, better understand the audition process and to aid their personal development and techniques of securing work. Sessions aim to hone audition technique, develop script analysis skills and improve self-confidence.
We offer informative sessions where you walk away, not only having learnt something, but feeling like you're being an active participant in a sometimes difficult and isolating profession.
As actors ourselves, we promise to always do this for a reasonable cost and no joining fees.
Every session works differently but the basic format consists of individual scene work with the workshop leader, followed by personal feedback. Sessions end with an informal Q&A about how the professional personally likes to work.
Success as an actor is about persistence and self belief, and we think there's no better way to build on these things than in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Our workshops are about you, so please contact us with your suggestions. If you're looking for career advice we'll also do what we can to help and guide you.
Previous workshop leaders have included:
Ginny Schiller, Ruth Key, Jeremy Herrin, Michael Longhurst,
Rowland Beckley, Mark Everest, Sue Jones, Lucy Jenkins, Ben Marks, Gemma Sykes, Rachel Sheridan, Lauren Evans, Nicky Bligh, Stephen Unwin, Andy Brierley, Daniel Edwards, Martin Ware, Stuart Burt and many more...
